Peases WestNewsBarnardo`s Big ToddleChildren, parents and staff dressed as pirates for our big toddle and raised £250 for childrens charity Barnardos. A great day was had by all who took part and pupils were rewarded with gold coins and medals. A huge thankyou to all who supported the event. Fathers' Day FeastDads, grandads, uncles and carers were invited in to school to work with their child/ren in class and then they enjoyed a delicious school lunch together. Great fun was had by all! Mothers' Day Muffin MorningOur Mothers' Day Muffin Morning was very successful. We had lots of mums, grandmothers and aunties (and some dads and grandads) who enjoyed a delicious fruit muffin made by our 'Let's Get Cooking' club, and a cuppa. We raised £125.40 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Many thanks to all who attended or who made donations. Yet another achievement!!!We are pleased to have successfully achieved the Financial Management Standard for Schools.

Read more...Young Life Savers AwardSixteen junior children will take part in the 'Young Life Savers Award' on Friday 27th March. This intensive training will be delivered by ST John Ambulance over the course of six hours and will provide these youngsters with some very important life saving skills.
Read more...Class 2's Mothers' Day AssemblyThere were tears and laughter at Class 2's Mothers'Day Assembly. Organised by the children in Class 2 themseleves, each child drew an illustration of their mum, told their mum why they loved her and sang a class song. We also made up acrostic poems. DT Fairytale Week We have had some unusual visitors during Fairytale Week this term. They included, the wicked witch from Hansel and Gretal, the princess from Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, The Frog Prince and Snow White!!!

The children loved having their parents joining in with their maths lessons, and parents found this beneficial. We all had great fun on the afternoon with a carousel of Christmas maths activities.
