The children are very excited about the Learning Journal tasks this term and these were sent home recently. These tasks are to be spread out over the term and handed in for review dates throughout the term. Please follow the link below to find a copy of Learning Journal tasks. Reading books and reading logs have also been sent home and should be read every night, filled in and brought into school every day.

This year promises to be a busy year with an extensive range of fun packed learning activities that will help our children’s young minds develop and flourish. We have already completed our learning about houses and homes where we live, as well as exploring how different religions celebrate festivals of light during the beginning of the term. We are excited to start our learning on traditional tales and look forward to sharing our learning at Autumn parents meetings after half term.
We have been very busy so far this term! Here are some photographs of some of the activities we have carried out.
We have been very busy working on tucked shapes and rolls this term in gymnastics.
We have had a walk around the local area to carryout a survey of buildings in the local area as part of our geography topic. We then made our own house models.
Our Music lessons with Mrs James have been alot of fun.
Festivals of Light is our RE topic. Here we are making a Jewish Menorah while learning about the Jewish faith and how the festival of Hannukah is celebrated. Also, we have decorated the area outside of our class with Rangoli patterns just as peole who follow the Hindu faith do as part of their celebrations at Diwali.
Our art project to investigate colour and create Mondrian style paintings has seen us mixing different colours so far.
We are very helpful in Class 2 and like to support each other even with tying shoe laces!
