Your child’s ‘Learning Journal’ is a place which allows them to share their talents and interests, and take pride in their success and achievements. Their Learning Journal enables them to make the link between school and home and provides opportunities for children to explore their interests and take a genuine pride in their learning inside and outside the classroom.
Children will have set maths, reading and spelling tasks weekly, and also some additional tasks, including a ’wild card’ to complete over the term. We encourage children to record their views on books they have read, practise letter formation and handwriting, explore spelling/number patterns and also share their experiences in the Learning Journal. This could include drawings, photographs etc.
We hope your child’s Learning Journal is a positive and fun learning experience for all, and thank you for your anticipated support.
